Howdy, I started off making games using a program called Scratch on my laptop somewhere around 2012, I then upgraded to the Unity engine roughly around 2014-2015.
Back then I put together small projects on Scratch and basically just painted using terrain tools on terrain maps in unity. Although I never released anything publicly.
More recently I have been bouncing between many projects. Always losing interest before completion and never releasing anything. Quality is also really important to me making release even harder.

I quote an ancient Greek fable writer because in the past I have personally had a problem where I come up with an idea for a game or project, I'd then get really excited about my new game concept. So I would tell everyone who would listen details about the game and about how great the game is going to be. Those people I told about the game got excited and had raised expectations. Then early in development I realized I was not yet ready to try and code something so demanding, in the end it was harder to move forward because I felt like I had failed and let them down.
The morale is to get a prototype working before promising anything to anyone, including yourself. It helped me with this issue. It's also important to remember that everyone makes mistakes, and what is important is what we learn from our mistakes.
